Today is a really big day. We are presenting our project in front of the Board of Education! The kids are really excited about it and have been working very hard for this presentation. Today we sorted the shoes and made graphs: Check them out along with how we feel the project is going. Thanks for all the support!
In the world, there are many problems meaning it is not just shoes. Cancer has affected people in all aspects of life. Jim Valvano, a teacher and coach at North Carolina State University, made a very famous speech in 1993 about his battle with this horrible disease. Today, the students read, listened, and wrote about this speech. It is a very passionate speech about life. Combining two of my loves, teaching and basketball is a good thing. WOW good work today even though it was cold. We went to the MS/HS to promote our cause. The kids each shared their speech at least 4 times. They did an excellent job: see for yourself!
